It’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Pre-Order Day in Delaware

With the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus being announced this past Tuesday (September 9, 2014), Apple started accepting pre-order’s for the new iPhones at 3:00 am EST on September 12, 2014. As of the time of this writing (9:30 am EST), Apple still has most versions of the iPhone 6 available for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon (Sprint being the most limited supply as of now and Gold being the color that has the least number still available). The carriers have also started pre-order’s on their sites, but if AT&T is any indication of the other carriers, the supply is starting to dwindle.

If you miss out on today’s pre-order’s, Apple typically stocks a limited number of new iPhone models in stores when they go on sale. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will officially be available for purchase next Friday, September 19, 2014. The iPhone 6 Plus is looking like it will be very difficult to get your hands on in all storage options. Apple and AT&T both had all pre-orders for the iPhone 6 Plus sold out by about 4:30 EST on Friday September 12, 2014. Initially both sites were showing a 2-3 week delay on iPhone 6 Plus shipments, with carriers now slipping to 30-45 days.

I hope that everyone that was up early this morning was able to get the phone they wanted pre-ordered. If not, it doesn’t hurt to visit your carrier store, or be prepared to wait in line on September 19, 2014 to see what is available without a pre-order. Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus come in 9 different models. Each has a Silver, Gold and Space Gray option available with storage options of 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. iPhone 6 starts at $199 with a 2 year contract ($649 without), and each step-up in storage will cost an extra $100. The iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299 with a 2 year contract ($749 without), and again each increase in storage capacity will cost an additional $100 (with the 128 GB version coming in at $499 on contract, $949 without a contract).
