iPlugDelaware Wilmington Meeting Tuesday April 21, 2014

iPlugDelaware’s Newest Member Helping Daddy Prepare

Our April iPlug meeting will be held on Tuesday April 21, 2015, at the Panera Bread in Fairfax at 7:30 am. Panera is located at 2311 Concord Pike, Wilmington Delaware. The meetings are held in the back room of the restaurant. Normally meetings last about 1 hour.

Meetings are free to attend and no registration is necessary. If you have never attended a meeting, they are informal and are a chance for users in the legal community to share their experience using mobile technology in their practice and to learn from the experiences of others. It doesn’t matter if you are an attorney, a Judge, a paralegal, a law student or other support staff, if you are associated with the legal community and you are interested in mobile technology, please join us Tuesday morning.

This Friday’s Apple Watch release will be thoroughly discussed, including  thoughts on the order process, alternate watch bands, and Apple Watch try-on appointments. As always, the floor will also be open for attendee questions, discussion, and demonstrations.

Apple Watch Now Available for Pre-order

 Apple Watch Pre-order

At 3:01 a.m., Apple made the Apple Watch available for Pre-order online. Most versions of the Apple Watch initially promised a ship date between April 24 and May 8. Within about 15 minutes, all versions had at least a 4-6 week wait time for delivery. As of this morning all versions of the Watch sport edition have a June delivery date, most of the Watch stainless steel versions still have a 4-6 week delivery window, and Apple Watch edition are not shipping until June or July.

Pre-orders are being made available exclusively online, and although it is expected that Apple may have limited quantities available on launch day in-store, there is no guarantee. If you missed ordering when the Watch went on sale this morning, it is recommended that you order online as soon as possible if you want a Watch by this summer.

Although the Apple Watch is not available to pre-order at Apple Store locations, you can see and try on the Watch beginning today at Apple Stores. Appointments are needed to actually try the device on your wrist, but anyone will be able to view a display of the Apple Watch. As of this morning, the Delaware Apple Store will had plenty of appointments available as early as this afternoon. To schedule an appointment, visit Apple’s website.

Let us know if you had any difficulty ordering your Apple Watch, and what version you decided on. If you enjoy updates from iPlugDelaware, please like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter so you can interact with us on a more frequent basis.
